Majlis Perbandaran Seberang Perai

MPSP is administered by a managing body whose members consist of the Honorary as the Chief Executive and 24 other members. The members are nominated by the state government for one year. The nomination of the Honorary of the other hand, is very much depending on the recommendation of the state government.

The managing body is managed by 10 bureau in which its being led by the State Secretary as Chief Administrator. He is asisted by each bureau's head who is called Director. All matters are under the supervision of the Honorary and it is being done through State Secretary that will later carry out co-ordination on all bureau. However, the Internal Audit department is controlled directly by The Honorary.

The task of the Council is managed by the Advisory Body whose members consist of some of the Council Members who are choosen to be JP in which its functions are to analyse, discuss in details and make recommendations so that it can be presented to Full Council for consideration and approval.

The Full Council comprises the President and all 24 Councilors. The President chairs all Full Council meetings.
